Summer Fun in the Hill Country!

Lots to do at the Lyndon B. Johnson State Park & Historic Site in Stonewall

·         See baby bison and longhorns in their game enclosures

·         Swimming pool open from noon-8:00 pm, except Monday & Tuesday

·         Great gift shop with lots of unique items, some hand made at the park/farm

·         Remember, fishing at the state park is free and no license is required if fishing from the banks of the state park

·         National Park Bus Tours for the LBJ Ranch, Sauer-Beckmann Living History Farm, and Texas White House are offered at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM.  These are two hour tours on a first come first serve bases.  We also continue to offer the self guided vehicle CD tour to the public.

·    Come celebrate our nation’s birthday as a German family and their friends would have done in the early 1900s during the Sauer-Beckmann Farm’s July 4th Celebration.  Take part in activities such as horseshow and washer pitching, stick horse races, watermelon seed spitting, and other games.  The farm will be open as usual, with interpreters in period clothing carrying out day-to-day farm activities—replicating how these early settlers would have celebrated.
